Wolff, Ed
Ed Wolff earned a degree in veterinary medicine from Auburn University, and practiced as a vet for fifty-one years before retiring in December 2022.
He moved west in 1975 at age thirty-two, settling in western Montana, where he backpacks, hunts, and fishes in the Rocky Mountains.
He nurtured his writing craft by publishing numerous essays in professional veterinary literature describing orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.
He has long had an interest in the history of the American West, beginning with the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1804-1806 up to the end of the mountain man era in 1842.
