Karen Sackett has an elementary education degree, with a minor in speech pathology. She has a passion for writing, working with kids, and playing bluegrass music. Originally from Idaho, Karen and her husband have lived for over twenty-five years in a forest near Bozeman, Montana. She learned to maintain a healthy forest on her land through work with the Montana Master Forest Stewardship Program. When she’s not patrolling for outlaw weeds with her grandchildren, she’s learning to play the Paraguayan harp.
