Ray Murray
Raymond C. Murray received a PhD in geology from the University of Wisconsin and later chaired the geology department at Rutgers University. He served as vice president for research and professor of geology at the University of Montana for twenty years, until his retirement in 1996.

Murray has worked to help establish proper methods for examination and analysis of soils and related types of evidence, and has testified as an expert witness. He has visited, worked with, and lectured at government and private crime laboratories around the world. Murray is vice president of the American Association of Forensic Geologists. He lives with his wife, Maureen Fleming, in Missoula, Montana.
