Lee Ann Landstrom
Lee Ann Landstrom has been an interpretive naturalist and environmental educator since 1980. She is newly retired from the directorship (27-years) of Eastman Nature Center in the 5400-acre Elm Creek Park Reserve (near Osseo, Minnesota) with the Three Rivers Park District. She supervised a staff of 12, and oversaw trails, habitat, and exhibits, as well as taught school and public classes. Landstrom was also a part-time youth class instructor at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul for nearly 20 years. She served ten years on the Minnesota Naturalists' Association, and was a board member and past president of the Minnesota Association for Environmental Education. She gave presentations at regional education conferences and wrote frequent columns for employee and association newsletters. She has led numerous nature tours to Costa Rica, where she co-owns a dairy farm in the cloud forest. In 1998 Landstrom was awarded the annual Excellent Employee award from her park district. She has a BA in biology from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and a master's in biology/ecology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In her leisure time, she likes to travel, garden, bird watch, and take photographs.
